~wondering how plants turn air+water+dirt into food!
I was listening to Spotify when the ads (advertisement) came up. The ads was from Meta (AKA Facebook, before 2022). It was about personalized ads and how Facebook and Instagram help companies find potential new customers through this approach. They used the example of climbing. How could the climbing gym find new climbers who might never ever have climbed before? - they targeted those who “seem” to be interested in outdoor activities. Now that ads can influence our behaviour, or even create a new one. Can we use ads to nudge the general public for a better decision? For example, eat more fruit and vegetable?
To be added: I need to find more data/evidence that support the effectiveness of ads, and all contingencies. Also, assuming this works, what are key behaviours ads could have potential to change most?.
